The ChemPro System utilizes a two phase patented process providing efficient remediation of inorganic waste streams. The inorganic waste stream is first dried to meet a specific moisture level and particle size. Once achieved the material is blended with various additives and silicates, and loaded into a hopper where it is continuously fed into the furnace to be vitrified. As the molten mass is released from the bottom of the furnace it can be poured into moldings, flash cooled in water to make an aggregate, or sent through a proprietary design fiber spinner to make mineral wool seen in the picture below.
ChemPro Systems uses an ex-situ procedure that can be deployed on site, and removed after the contract is completed. One furnace will process approximately 100 tons of material in a twenty four hour period. The ChemPro System is cost competitive with the other remediation methods. ChemPro System's patented, “cold-top” resistance vitrification technology is also significantly more energy efficient then the leading thermal reduction technology.
